Focus and Scope

Studia Universitatis Babes-Bolyai Theologia Orthodoxa Journal (SUBBTO) is an open access, peer-review, bi-annual academic journal edited by Faculty of Orthodox Theology, Babes-Bolyai University (Cluj-Napoca, Romania). SUBBTO publishes articles and reviews in the field of Orthodox Theology (biblical, historical, practical, systematic, etc.) and is open to any other contribution which includes a reference to theology, especially in the field of philosophy, history or letters.

The structure of the journal is jointed on the studies and articles, books and reviews, grouped by domains. Starting with 2016 all articles are published only in English. The magazine includes the main fields of the theological subjects (Biblical Theology, Dogmatic, Morality, Liturgical, Patrology, Ethics, Catechesis, Christian Art, Religious Philosophy, Theology and Philosophy/Phenomenology, Church History etc.), but also interdisciplinary studies.

Starting with number 1 (2015), SUBBTO issues have the status of ‘Open Access’. As an Open Access journal, SUBBTO does not charge readers or their institutions for access (read, download, copy, distribute, print for research use, search, or linkto the full texts of articles).

Since 1992 the review has appeared regularly, at the beginning in one cumulative number, 1-2, and from 2005 to nowadays in two numbers (June, December).
