Abstract

The judicial texts of the sapiential writings have a distinct spirit , comparing with nowadays judicial texts. In the sapiential writings we will discover a great diversity of possible approaches, having a distinguished character, which derive from the Jewish people’s faith in God. Through the detailed research of the sapiential writings, we will find answers to the fundamental ethical questions and the way in which the Old Testament, in the present form, is able to offer answers to the actual ethic questions. Justice in the sapiential writings has arevealed concord, emerging from the vow which God did with the people of Israel. Here we find expressed the imperative request to live a life pleasant to God, based on justice, truth and righteousness.
